Mars and most space stations face a major resource crisis since they relied on the Jupiter system and the asteroid belt for many resources. Fighting now reaches a lull between humanity and Machina, but is by no means stopped. Both humans and Machina launch long-distance commando raids into the territories of the other for the resources they each require.
