When the Queen decides she needs Machina to fulfill a certain role, she gathers Machina possessing traits that she wants to combine, and orders the Machina to have sex with only each other for an extended amount of time until each of the participant Machina have shared their genes to such an extent that they are identical. Future additions to the type are sent to be the recipient of sex from these Machina until the new Machina is also identical to the existing Machina of that type. In any established Cluster, there are often dozens, if not hundreds, of orgies occurring to create new Machina types or induct new Machina into an existing type.
