An individual Machina exists both within her own body and within the Main Cluster. If she is a regular Machina, her two halves are linked to each other via her Queen, whilst Queens are linked directly to the Main Cluster. If a Machina goes out of range or loses connection from her Queen, her body will attempt to restore her connection using whatever means are available. The Machina's personality is not harmed by this, but since her personality is simultaneously hosted in both her body and the Main Cluster, the Machina feels a great loss of self when disconnected. The loss of contact causes the other half of the personality to enter a dream state in the Main Cluster until she re-establishes her connection to the Main Cluster. The Machina must sleep extensively to reconcile the experiences of the two halves afterwards, when it is convenient. | An individual Machina exists both within her own body and within the Main Cluster.
