There is a very-high-importance project within REPAIR called the Biological Overhaul Initiative, which developed the Fractional Enhancement Method to alter males to such an extent that they can safely be augmented with RM Nanomachines and possibly become Agents. It is commonly referred to as Project FEMBOI (Fractional Enhancement Method, Biological Overhaul Initiative), and at this stage only a very small handful of males have been successfully treated by these custom-tailored, highly-experimental procedures being developed by the program for each experimental subject. The successful experiments result in male REPAIR personnel who are sufficiently 'female' enough in terms of their body chemistry and other factors, which prevents the RM Nanomachines within them from malfunctioning. The lesser, male Agents created by the program are still a welcome asset to REPAIR commanders, who use them for lower-priority missions such as scouting. The mega-corp DANGUN, seeking any edge it can get over the juggernaut that is URIS Industries, also entered into developmental partnership with REPAIR. Its first program was designed to improve the effectiveness of Rank B Agents, and weaken URIS' influence on REPAIR by lessening the need for Rank A Agents, which URIS has exclusive access to. The project is called 'DANIELIS 7' and the key innovations of it are the addition of animalistic cybernetics, neural pathways, and networking together the participating Rank B Agents. Such Agents are outfitted with agility and lethality increasing cybernetics, such as digitigrade legs for enhanced running and jumping, feline and canine-style cybernetic ears containing sensor suites, or pop-out thermal blades along with neural enhancements to fight Machina in melee. While alone these modifications may be of dubious effectiveness, the Agents are appropriately programmed with matching animal instincts and networked together to form a pack of hunters capable of taking down Machina more effectively.
