During this time the M2 Nanomachines carry out physical improvements as well as optimize and streamline her neural network, thought patterns, and memories. As her body carries out this mental optimization it can feel like a dream to the Machina, as old memories appear in her mind and then leave as they are processed. These rest cycles have the added benefit of powering down the rest of the Machina's body so it too can be maintained by her M2 Nanomachines without the stresses of activity impeding them.
